Happy Easter from Jonas, Jude, and Zakary!

BEST FRIENDS FOR LIFE!

Zakay and Jonas

Jonas

Can't beat the expression on Jude's face!

One of my favorites! Zakary's serious face!

Suddenly Zakary has developed an opinion about his clothes and he personally hated the sweater vest. He only wanted to wear the shirt with no sweater. Who knew at 3 he would care! But, you see who won!:)

I had a hard time getting a good smile out little Jude! I had to get a shot of his big boy teeth! He is so cute!

Jude

Brotherly Love!!

I struggled with the sun, It was such a nice day but we needed to wait a little later!

I had Jonas sit on this tree stump and he was scared to death if you can't tell in this picture!
There is a drop off right behind him. Needless to say, Teresa was slightly nervous also. I really liked the background though.

Gone Fishing!

The old fishing pole that didn't even have a button to push to release the line!! Imagination is the best!

Zakary has developed a new interest in FISHING!! He is constantly wanting to go fishing. I think he has really only been one time with GiGi. But, he is always pretending. His previous fishing pole broke many months ago and he was devastated. But, he continued to play with the broken fishing pole. Well, about a week ago he had over heard my Dad say that he needed to go get his fishing license so he could go fishing and since then he has persistently wanted to go fishing. One day he even went to take a nap at about 1130 because, "he was going to take a quick nap and then go fishing with Papaw". Needless to say he was disappointed when he got up because he was ready to fish. But, we had a great pretend fishing trip. So, I can't wait for the warm weather to come so this poor child can go fishing.

Yesterday we met my mom for some lunch and Zakary insisted that we go to Target after lunch so of course we did! Well, Zak wanted a new leapster game. After 10 minutes of making a decision about which one he wanted he finally decided on Nemo! So, we were walking out and he saw a fishing pole. Well, needless to say it was all over with then. He wanted a new fishing pole. He had the option of the game or the pole and he quickly decided the pole. On the way home he admired the pole until his eyes started to close. The further he went to sleepy land the tighter he held on to his pole. At one time he was actually holding the pole so tight he was hugging it to make sure it didn't fall. So, once he woke up he was ready to play "fishing". He had a great time until he remembered that he didn't get the Nemo game as well as the pole!

Well, Zakary had his 3 year old appointment this morning with Dr. Walters. I know it is kind of a little late considering his is now 3 years and 3 months. But it took a while to get in. Well, all is well with him. He is right on target of where he needs to be as far as growth and development. He weighs 29.8 lbs . He is 40 inches tall. He is growing well. Dr Julie was pleased he was able to tell her all his colors, his full name, his 123's ( well up to 10), and all his ABC's. He has some work to do on his behavior but academically he is right where he needs to be. So, I was thrilled!

BAHAMAS HERE WE COME!! Chad and I will be leaving in 75days to embark on our first cruise. We will be gone for 5 days 4 nights on this luxurious trip! We are super excited to go. Zakary will be staying here in Indy with GiGi (Chad's Mom). I am sure we will miss him like crazy but, so excited to get away! He probably won't even miss us as he will be spoiled like crazy. I will be sure to post some pics.

In the corner!

Okay, so Chad and I have attempted nearly everything with our strong willed child as far as discipline. He thinks "time outs" are the easiest form of discipline and would do something wrong and then put himself in time out--not working. Then we tried the "wooden spoon". This worked for a minute. Then he started acting out and then going himself and getting the spoon for me. Then came the "soap in the mouth". This was very productive. Soap is everywhere! So, it was a great threat. But, literally every time I used this method he would gag until he threw up. So, probably not the best parenting. So, little did I know the "corner" would do wonders to Zakary's behavior. He absolutely HATES putting his nose in the corner. He wants to be able to see everything that is going on and can't see anything but the wall. So, our new found discipline is the "Nose in the corner method". There is a corner everywhere you go! No one told me that a 3 year old could be so hard to figure out!
